Veterinary College and Research institute, Salem library was established with well-equipped modern facilities to support the academic, research and general informational needs of the students and faculties. The library is located in a separate building (10512.52 square feet) with following infrastructure facilities:

  • Reading hall (3486 sq.ft.)
  • Reprography room (225 sq.ft.)
  • e-Library room (678 sq.ft.)
  • Binding room (225 sq.ft.)
  • Committee room (465 sq.ft.)
  • Own book reading room (387 sq.ft.)
  • Office room (225 sq.ft.)
  • Cloak room (310 sq.ft.)

Objectives

  • To support the educational and research programs by providing access to information consistent with the present and anticipated educational and research functions of this institute.
  • To provide the opportunities for the students to develop the knowledge and skills to access library resources.
  • To provide facilities for all teaching, learning, educational and research programmes.
  • To provide a secure and conducive learning environment for the use of library resources.

LIBRARY WORKING HOURS

On Weekdays: 9.00 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. (Monday to Friday)

On Saturdays: 9.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m.
