Candidates possessing a B.V.Sc. & A.H., / B.F.Sc. degree of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto shall be eligible to apply.

Only 75% of the admission strength for the year is available for the candidates from Tamil Nadu (the remaining 25% is reserved for candidates from other states through ICAR). If there are any unfilled seats under the
state quota, the same will be filled with candidates from other states who
have applied and appeared for the entrance examination conducted by
the University.

Candidates who have studied under conventional system should possess a minimum of 55% marks. Candidates with an OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 under trimester system or 7.0 out of 10.0 or 70% aggregate under semester pattern alone are eligible to apply for admission to M.V.Sc., / M.F.Sc., degree programme. Candidates who have passed B.V.Sc., & A.H., degree under the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) regulations should have obtained a minimum of 55% marks. For SC/ST candidates a minimum pass is sufficient.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR Ph.D. DEGREE PROGRAMME |

Candidates with an OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 under trimester system or 7.0 out of 10.0 under semester system or 70% aggregate in their Master’s degree alone are eligible to apply for admission to Ph.D. degree programme in Veterinary and Fisheries Sciences. For SC/ST candidates a minimum pass is enough.

- Candidates with basic B.F.Sc. degree and Master’s degree in Fisheries

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR M. PHIL IN BIOTECHNOLOGY |
A candidate with Masters degree in Science in the disciplines of Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Gene Technology, Animal Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Environmental Sciences, Genetics, Marine Biology and Fisheries Sciences (except Fisheries Economics and Fisheries Extension) from a recognized university or any other degree recognized as equivalent thereto shall apply.
Candidates with an OGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 under trimester system or 6.0 out of 10.0 under semester system or 60% aggregate in Masters degree shall alone apply. For SC/ST candidates a minimum pass is sufficient.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN BIOINFORMATICS |
