Title of the Project : Molecular diagnostics for emerging avian viral diseases and their immunopathogenesis
Objectives
  1. To study the molecular epidemiology of poultry viruses like Marek’s disease virus (MDV), Chicken Anaemia Virus (CAV) and Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV)

  2. Development of user friendly diagnostic kits employing yeast/ baculo expressed recombinant antigens for Chicken Anaemia Virus and Newcastle Disease Virus

  3. Development of DNA vaccine for Marek’s disease virus and Chicken Anaemia Virus.

  4. Augmentation of the immune responses to vaccines using new approaches
