VETERINARY COLLEGE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE, NAMAKKAL
The Department of Animal Husbandry Statistics started functioning from the 15th November 1985 with the following objectives:
- To teach Animal Husbandry Statistics subject to under graduate (B.V.Sc.,) and post graduate students of Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal
- To guide both staff and PG scholars in designing their experiments, statistical analysis of the collected data and interpretation of the results
- To carry out independent research as well as in collaboration of the other departments
The Department was re-designated as the Department of Animal Husbandry Statistics and Computer Applications in May 2004 and empowering the Department to manage the Computer centre of the college and also managing computer networking. The activities of this Department are teaching animal husbandry statistics and Computer Applications to undergraduate and postgraduate students, offering guidance to research students and staff in designing of experiments, processing and interpretation of experimental results and also managing the computer network of the college.
