The Madras Veterinary College follows semester system of education from 1991 both in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Presently, the following academic programmes are offered.  

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc.)
  

• Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.)
  

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
