An awareness program on “Safety of fishermen and fishing vessels” was conducted which benefitted 100 fishermen.
The Department operates a Research Trawler Boat to enable scientists collect sea samples and conduct experiments in the sea apart from conducting practical classes in fishing and related activities for the students.
